After the sharing from Dato’ Seri Tony Fernandes, CEO of AirAsia in 2009, we have MEALCON in 2010.

This year, SIFE UUM is organizing Malaysia Entrepreneurship And Leadership Convention. It is a 2-days event which provides the opportunity for you to widen you knowledge in both leadership and entrepreneurship. The theme is “Reborn, Reform, Reenergize towards Charisma”. It means that Reborn the life and spirit of youths, Reform the passion, energetic and dreams, Reenergize the whole internally and externally towards a charismatic of youth kind. Besides, you can build your networking in MEALCON as you are going to meet our great speakers and students from other universities.

Who are the speakers?

We have invited 6 distinguished and outstanding leaders and entrepreneurs.

1. Mr. Yeoh Chen Chow

- Awarded Asian Youth Ambassador (AYA) Most Outstanding Youth of the Year 2009.

- Currently working as a Product Manager in JobStreet.

Topic : “Making Differences: Thinking Outside the Box”.

2. Mr. Roshan Thiran, the CEO of Leaderonomics Sdn. Bhd & new media leader, Mr. Rene Tan

Topic : “Four Areas in Entrepreneurship Mastery”.

3. Mr. Roslan Bakri Zakaria

- Director of Technopreneur and Enterprise Development from Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC).

- MDeC directs and oversees MSC Malaysia.

- MDeC will help you to start your business by providing the funds that you need.

4. Tan Sri Dato’ Muhammad Ali Hashim

- President and CEO of Johor Corporation (JCorp).

- JCorp has many strategic businesses including Palm Oils, Food & Restaurants like KFC & Pizza Hut.

Topic : “Instilling Leadership and Quality of Business”.

5. Dato’ Hafsah Hashim, the CEO of SME Corp.

- She has initiated several programmes for the development of women entrepreneurs.

Topic : SME Corp Grant.

6. Mr. Azim Pawanchik

- Founder and principal consultant of Alpha Catalyst Consulting.

- Alpha Catalyst Consulting is a consultancy firm which provides its clients such as Digi and Shell innovation and renewal solutions.

- Being an innovated person, Mr. Azim’s workshop will be about “Innovation and Leadership”.

So, when will it be?

MEALCON will be held on the 29th and 30th of January at UUM Convention Centre. The price for UUM students is only RM65, compared to RM200 for those from other universities.

We are also honoured to have Dato’ Mukhriz Mahathir, the Deputy Minister of Ministry of International Trade and Industry to officiate MEALCON. We assure you that what you gain from MEALCON is worth much more than the price you pay.
